Normally, points and fonts are scaled. But the minimal sizes are respected, if this is enabled, since fonts would become to small otherwise. To get large fonts in small prints, use the scaling feature in the graphics export.
Bitmaps are normally generated on a white background. You can tell the program to use your background color.
